BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Cumbria

The dial is kept indoors for safety, and its pedestal in the garden, 970h, now has a different dial on it. There is a motto ’Grata Brevissima’ and the date ’1763’. The time scales are not recorded. The gnomon angle is 54 degrees. There is no makers name or place on dial plate.
