BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Tayside Region

The dial is in the garden, and predates the house. It is no longer mounted but, from its roughly dressed rear face, is clearly from an earlier stone wall. It shows 6am to 6pm in hours, using IIII for 4pm and a cross for noon. It bears initials AC & ES and the date of 1775. It is constructed of sandstone but not of the local red stone.
