BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Cornwall

This dial on a headstone in the memorial garden is a replacement for one which was stolen in 1997. It has just five numerals around the perimeter: 6am, 9am, noon, 3pm and 6pm, but hour lines indicate times from 4am to 8pm in hours. Mounted on the same oblong granite block with inscription: Thomas K H Davies, a dear husband and father 1925 - 1971. ’Say not goodbye but in some brighter clime bid me good morning’. Also to Thomas A Moseley 1924 - 1997. The old dial had the motto ’Sic Vita’ .
