BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Appleshaw Manor, Appleshaw

The dial is in the rose garden, mounted on a white stone bulbous pedestal 1000h. The motto reads: "Mark time, save time, while time lasts; All time is no time when time is past". The shadow of the underside of the gnomon shows the time. There is a sunface in the centre and a compass at the far edge of the gnomon. Shows 4am to 8pm in 30, 15, 10 and 5 min marks. Similar to example in Haddonstone Catalogue. Access under National Gardens Scheme.
