BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.
Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.
The dial is at the edge of lawns at the front of the house, set on a worn and tilting circular stone column 700h. Motto reads: "Sunny Hours". Large 8-point compass rose in centre with the compass points lettered. Shows 4am to 8pm in 15 min marks (no specific half hour markings). Uses XII and IIII. Noon gap. Numerals read from outside the dial. Hour lines pass through numerals. Sturdy gnomon with full length side supporters and double suporters one convex at rear and one inner vertical one.
