BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Girton College, Cambridge

Gold leaf illuminates the numerals and lines on this dark slate dial, which is mounted on a stone slab on the end wall of the college library. It was created in 1997 by Quin Hollick and is in excellent condition. It declines 20 deg to the west and thus shows later times, from 9am to 8pm, which are marked in half and quarter hours. The Greek motto translates as: ’Time carries all things’.
