BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Mary’s Parish Church, Lydiard Tregoze

Dial is located over the south door. Church is railed off on private property - now a conference centre. Dial is square but oriented as a lozenge with acanthus décor at top. Dial may be slightly canted to East to face due South. Obscured in late pm by shadow of adjacent (new) building. Gnomon painted green. Hours marked are VI - XII - IIII - VI. Numerals aligned vertically. The Church’s foundation stone has a date of 1633 and Coat of Arms of Sir John St John. Reference: 1 - ’Wiltshire (The Buildings of England)’ Nicolaus Pevsner.
