BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Castle, Bangor

This Saxon-style dial can be found in the rose garden at the front of the castle. It is badly damaged, but originally had 12 divisions at 15 degree intervals. A horizontal gnomon hole passes right through the stone. There is a cross mark below the dial. Mounted on top of 1500mm high stele. Ref The Ancient Sundials of Ireland, Mario Arnaldi.
