BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Tayside Region

The dial is in the front garden on a high sandstone pedestal (1580h), carved ’TG [Thos Gardyne] 1836’ and decorated on each side with thistles, c/arms, grapes. An inscription reads: "Spinuea [?] Christus". There are several concentric scales. The dial shows 4am to 8pm in 30, 15, 10 and 1 min marks. The hour lines have Roman numerals; the 10 minute lines and the circular EoT scale have Arabic. There is a boar’s head motif with an inscrption in a scroll.
