BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Ormesby Hall [NT] (1), Middlesbrough

A heliochronometer made by Pilkington and Gibbs, Mk 1 Type 2 Standard model Serial number 175 located in the rose garden. Was previously owned by JW Pennyman. After restoration it has been fitted with an 8in spike. Orientation is now lost. Kept in doors at night.
