BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Nicholas’ Church, Fyfield

Vertical south-facing dial inset into the south corner of the church, just under the eaves. The dial uses an unusual approach to achieving south-facing - the corner of the building has been cut off at the correct angle. The date, 1717, is engraved above the dial. The dial has full length hour lines with vertical Arabic numerals from 6am to 6pm. Noon is marked by a cross. The iron strip gnomon has a single straight supporter. Ref: Pevsner (Berks) (as Fyfield was formerly in Berkshire) Note: The interior of the church is very well worth visiting. If locked, get the key from the vicarage to the right of the gate, facing the church.
