BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Gloucestershire

The dial is in the garden one level down. It is mounted on a square wooden pedestal with a wooden octagonal top. The motto reads: "L’heure passe L’amitie reste" (The hours pass friendship remains). It shows 4am to 8pm in hours with no noon gap. Pierced gnomon. The date marked is 1805 but that may not be correct.
