BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

In front of the aviaries is this analemmatic sundial which, with the help of a human gnomon standing on a N-S pathway marked with the months of the year can show the time from 7am to 9pm by means of hour markers. (There are actually two sets of markers, for BST and GMT). Also inscribed on it are the latitude and longitude and the height above sea level. It was laid out in 1988 by Modern Sunclocks of Kilwinning, Ayrshire and measures 3600mm (N-S) x 6020mm (E-W).
