BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Merchant Adventurer’s Hall, York

A vertical declining stained glass dial located in the Chapel. The motto reads: ’Dieu Nous Donne Bonne Aventure’. It depicts a young man holding a cross staff to take a meridian altitude observation of the sun at the equinox (36deg 03 min) at the Latitude of York. Shows 6am to 1pm in half hours. Worked by York Glaziers Trust. Compare the 17th century dial SRN 2294 at Lullingstone in Kent.
