BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Yorkshire (N)

The dial is on the wall of a barn near the house. Mottoes read: across the top ’Dum effulget sol faenum facite’, and around the perimeter ’To everything there is a season and a time for every purpose under the heaven - a time to be born and a time to die; a time to plant and a time to pick up that which is planted’. Declination lines for solstices and equinoxes. Shows 6am to 5pm in quarters. Decoration in all four corners.
