BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Derbyshire

The inscription around the perimeter reads: ’Rest eternal grant unto them Oh Lord, Make Light perpetual shine upon them’. The gnomon supporter is made using Alpha and Omega letters. The gnomon is positioned unusually far South on the dial plate, so limiting hours. Shows 6am to 6pm in half hours. Mounted on a tall (1180h) square section stone column (no capital) set on a square base and plinth, in the south-west corner of the churchyard.
