BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Mary’s Church, White Waltham

Late form of mass dial on the wall of the church. The dial is semicircular with approximately equally-spaced hour lines from 6am to 6pm. Two dots (double pock) outside the dial at 9am may indicate the time for morning mass. Noon is marked with a cross, 6pm by IV, not VI. There appears to be some form of gnomon but it is certainly not original. The gnomon would have been horizontal and perpendicular to the dial.
