BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Sundial House, Goadby Marwood

The dial is set into the stonework between two first floor windows on the street wall of the house, opposite a telephone box. It is canted out on the left hand side. In the break-arch top is inscribed ’M W / 1747’. The iron bar gnomon has two straight support strips but is comong away from the stone dial plate. The dial had Arabic numerals for 6am to 6pm in half hours, but few are still visible (6,7, . . 5,6). On a stone below the dial is ’I B / 1806’.
