BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Westwell Manor (1), Westwell

In the centre of a pond in the dial garden to the south of the house is an octagonal bronze horizontal dial 270mm across. It shows the hours IV - VIII divided into halves and quarters. It has the date 1699, a 16-point compass rose and a partial maker’s name ’James ....’ It is mounted on a circular section column with circular capital 1200mmh with centre banded dog tooth decoration.
