BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Upton Hall (2), Upton

Dial No 2, in gardens to South of House. Stone ball with flat surfaces for base and equatorial plane. Dial of white Traffolyte sheet, engraved to reveal black lettering and lines. Shows 7am to 7pm in half hours. Glass rod (liquid filled?) 150 diam focuses light onto scale. Works for positive sun declinations only. Mounted on square topped plinth.
