BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Mary’s Church, Hitchin

Motto reads: "Anno Salutis 1660". Damaged gnomon which does not emanate from top of noon line. Shows time 5am to noon in 30 & 15 min marks. Noon marked with cross. 5am line does not project through gnomon root. This dial is paired with another on the adjacent face of the octagonal tower. Stone of this dial is less white than that of its pair. Located high on tower.
