BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Loch Promenade (South), Douglas

The dial is in the gardens by the sea. It stands in a circular paved area and is mounted on an octagonal pillar, 3000 mm high, of side 230mm. The eight faces are arranged around an octagonal block. Only a few hour lines are visible. The east gnomon is missing. Numerals are carved in relief. The dial block is surmounted by a lion. Reported in 2001 by Eva Wilson of Castletown IoM to be from France and dated about 1935.
