BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

The horizontal dial in Mrs Tremayne’s Sundial Garden did not start its life here and is not designed for this latitude. It is a good 19th century dial by T.Watkins though now rather worn. It shows the hours IV-VIII subdivided into intervals of 30, 15, 10 and 2 minutes. In the centre is an 8-point compass rose. The pedestal on which it stands does belong here and may have supported an earlier dial.
