BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Helen’s Church (2), Abingdon

Vertical west-declining dial on the south-west corner of the church under a parapet. The dial is on the south west corner of the church under the parapet, declining 15 degrees south of due west. Unfortunately no numerals or declination (Zodiac) lines are now visible, but the hourlines from 2pm to 9pm are, as is a sun in splendour at the top left. The rod gnomon has a nodus at about its midpoint so, presumably, the dial had Zodiac lines. Repairs to stone work at RH top edge replace that corner of the dial. This is the companion dial to SRN 2801, just round the corner.
