BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Hertfordshire

Motto reads: "Disease doth oft rise above medicine". Inscription is memorial to J James and D Willet. The pestle is the gnomon. Dial shows 7am to 7pm, hours only. Mounted on square section plinth (1600h) set in cobbled area. Inscription around outside reads "In Memoriam Dr Jimmy James Late President of the Trust and Dr Douglas Whittet Late Vice President". Located in park adjacent to Museum.
