BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Cumbria

The dial was originally in the Cotswolds. It shows 6am to 6pm in hours only. The gnomon root is at the centre of the half sun motif but the gnomon has been replaced upside down. There is some cracking down the noon line. It is mounted on a tall pillar in the rear garden. The dial block is roofed.
