BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Suffolk

Horizontal bronze sundial mounted upon a very tall octagonal section straight limestone pedestal, at the base of the church tower. The sundial shows the time from 4am to 8pm with 30, 15 and 5 minute markings. North is identified in the Noon gap and a circle and 4-point compass rose is inscribed around the gnomon root. The open gnomon has a curved supporter. The motto "Horas Non Numero Nisi Serenas" is inscribed around the octagonal capital. The sundial is a memorial to Alister B Simpson, died 1934, age 19.
