BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Martin’s Square, Basildon

Shows GMT 5am to7pm - Hour marks only. Bronze numerals in white circular stone markers. Markers continue around the ellipse as decoration. Analemma in centre has months within it (only provides the Equation of Time correction at Noon). Two adjacent plaques alert one to the need to add one hour in summer and where to stand.
