BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Oxfordshire

In centre of south wall of the pub, under thatch. Vehicle entrance from Mills Lane, pedestrian entrance from Church Street. Motto reads: "Sic Transet Gloria mundi" (Note spelling of Transit). Black lines and lettering on a white ground. Strip iron gnomon with scalloped supporter. Simple cross marks Noon. Shows 6am to 6pm in quarter hours. Shaded by thatched roof at times. Canted from wall to face South. Note that Wroxton has several other interesting sundials: SRN 2251, 2758, 3959, 3960, 3961.
