BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

The Old Workshop, Wroxton

A ceramic vertical south sundial is set into the stonework at the right of the front door. It measures about 180mm w x 120mmh and shows the hours 6am to 6pm in Arabic numerals divided into half hours. The hour lines end in arrowheads. Mottoes read ’Solem permanet nomen’ (? The (holy) name outlasts the sun) and ’Vulnerant omnes ultima necat’ (All hours wound and the last kills). The date 1981 appears in Roman numerlas along the bottom of the dial plate.
