Bideford Cemetery, Bideford

On the south wall of the cemetery chapel is a soundly constructed slate dial beaing the date 1933 snd made by Inkerman Rogers. It looks similar to the one at the maker’s home nearby. The hours VI - VI are divided into halves, the date and the maker’s name are to be seen on the dial plate and across the top is the motto, ’Sic Mea Vita Fugit’ (So my life flies). It is supported on a decorated corbel.
