BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Somerset

Motto is illegible. Has sun altitude and azimuth scales. Dial designed for approx Lat 52 but the gnomon was designed for Lat 41 and is currently wedged to 56 degs. EoT table. Dial not aligned N-S. Substantially eroded. Gnomon is not original and does not permit ’double’ operation. Dial shows times from 4am to 8pm in 1 min intervals. Mounted on tapered circular section stone plinth 1040h.
