BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Shore near village., Ahakista

A dial honouring those who perished in an air disaster, inscribed: ’Remember those who died, Air India 23.vi.85’. A large dial with a nodus that indicates the date and time of the accident. It shows the time from 3am to 9pm in 5 min intervals. The low plinth is formed of roughly cut stones. Roadway signs show the location of the dial.
