BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

The Royal Hospital, Kilmainham

An elegant dial on the south wall of the quadrangle, but with mistakes in delineation. Although it declines 5 degrees east, the 6 o’clock line is shown horizontal, and the dial is marked for 6am to 6pm in half hours. Gold lines and numbers on a white ground. Elaborately scrolled gnomon supporter.
