BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

12, High Street, Rye

The dial is over the doorway of a shop called "Baba Yaga". An old dial badly restored. No hour lines, just numerals. A drawing (by Hogg) of 1893 shows the dial with time from 4am to 5pm. Present numerals are nonsensical and not even sequential. Figure of a man in centre, akin to SRN 0618. Ref ’A Book of Sundials’ Launcelot Cross, Foulis 1922 (p10).
