BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Church of St Margaret (2), Bagendon

Second of two dials at the church. On the chancel South wall at East end. 3000 mm above ground and rather faint. Could be mistaken at first for a scratch dial but is laid out as a rectangle. Shows hours only 6 am to 6 pm. Much lichen. Stone’s aspect is S10E but the dial is delineated as direct south. It is carved directly into the stonework and is certainly a very early scientific dial (late 14th/early 15th century).
