BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Hampshire

Circular horizontal dial in the churchyard. This appears to be quite a good quality dial. In the centre is an 8 point compass rose. There are Roman hour numbers from 4am to 8pm, aligned with the hour lines and read from outside the dial. They use IIII at 4 o’clock and XII at noon, with a noon gap. The gnomon may be insecure. The dial is on the grave of Emma M Thomas. (She may have died in 1948.) The dial stands on a stone plinth with a rectangular top 280 x 330mm.
