BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

House in Townhead Lane, Austwick

A vertical declining dial above the doorway and visible from road, inscribed ’Lat 54 7’, ’Lon 2 21’, ’TRC 1880’. The dial is probably rectangular and has hour lines VIII - XII - IV - VI, with quarters marked externally to scale, within the numerals. The gnomon is unusually long (450 estd)
