BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Brelade’s Parish Church, St Brelade

The dial is mounted above the door on the south transept. It is an interesting dial with unusual (if not unique) ’stepped’ mean time correction scale [EoT] on the noon line calibrated against the zodiac and headed ’Tems Moyen’. Shows 6am to 6pm in 30 and 15 min marks. Uses XII and IIII. Numerals aligned with the hour lines. Small metal cover for gnomon root has slid down the gnomon. Motto reads: "L’HOMME EST SEMBLABLE / A LA VANLTE (sic) SES JOURS / SONT COMME UNE OMBRE / QUI PASSE" (Psalm 144 v4, Man is like to vanity: his days are as a shadow that passeth away). See BSS Bulletin Vol 13 (iv) p166/7.
