BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Parish Church of St Martin, St Martin

The dial is mounted at roof level in the middle of the south-facing wall of the Church. It was made to replace an original of grey slate dated 1736. Hour lines are accurate but the gnomon angle and dial set up are suspect. Shows 6am to 6pm in half hours. Uses XII and IV with numerals vertically aligned. Black furniture on white ground with. The gnomon is of brass rod with a single supporter itself held by a flattened stirrup. Inscription engraved in relief in a stone arch above: ’Don de. GB. Surveillant 1736’. Initials GB refer to the Surveillant (Churchwarden ) at the time.
