BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Shropshire

Includes four concentric scales showing hours (IIII - XII - VIII, read from inside), half hours and quarters. To the S, read from inside, in script, ’To the Parish of *** 1749 / Francis ???? / Churchwarden’. Gnomon missing. Eleven fixing holes! Octagonal stone pillar base, stump of market cross, 800 high, standing on square section 550 high.
