BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Church of the Holy Cross, Avening

On the roof ridge at West end of nave. ’Prism’ dial, a local variety with two working faces. Dial is very high and would have been difficult to read. All markings now weathered away. Ball finial, much eroded. Gnomons missing.
