BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Shropshire

Shows hours from 4am to 8pm, in 30, 15 and 5 minute markings. These latter given by multiple bands of staggered marks. Split Noon, XII for Noon, IIII for 4am/pm. Eight hole fixing. Fine octagonal stone baluster pedestal south of the door, 1110h, with octagonal capital 430a/f. All on two-step plinth lower one square upper one octagonal. Plaque on plinth as memorial to EA Powell died 1894. Dial previously had its gnomon missing. A new (modern) gnomon seen fitted 2000.
