BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Shropshire

The stone pillar is broken into three pieces and, in 1998, was lying on ground at the east end of the church. The gnomon has been ripped from the plate. Aligned numerals IIII - XII - IIII - VIII, with 5 minute marks. The maker’s name appears to read Chris or Wm Wheeler. It is assumed that it is Cornelius Wheeler, watchmaker in High Town, 1822-3 (Ref Elliott, Shropshire Clockmakers).
