BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Sundial House, Wing , Rutland

The dial is mounted in a gable facing the street over a first floor window to the right of the front door. Upright numerals IX - XII - IV - VII. Hour lines to a large square around the gnomon, and half hour marks. Strip gnomon with a curved ’H’ supporter, with a heart at the centre, added at restoration in 1995, in memory of Mr Harris who lived here. The motto across the top reads: "Ut aves sic horae", and the connection between birds and Wing is intended. Ref: Time in Rutland, Ovens & Sleath 2002.
