BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Sarum House (2), Winkleigh

A square painted wooden vertical dial declining 7° 30’ west shows the hours 1:15pm, and then 1:30pm until 8pm divided into halves. It shows its latitude 50° 50’ north and carries the motto ’Horas non numero nisi serenas’ (I count the bright hours only). It was made in 1993 by J D Weaver.
