BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Peter de Merton & St Cuthbert Church, Bedford

Vertical Roman hour numerals VI - XII - IIII - VI, with noon gap. Hour lines and short half hour lines. Inner ends of hour lines also marked with small Arabic numerals. Gnomon is square cross-section apparently unsupported bronze rod. Marks at substyle position may indicate that the gnomon is cantilevered from a countersunk supporting section. Round dial plate mounted at south east corner of Chancel, below roof guttering, and is canted out on left hand side to face south, by bronze struts.
