BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.
Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.
The dial is on the south fron ( through the hotel). The date is assumed from the date of the house with which the dial is integral. A motto: "Tempus Fugit" is on a ribbon below the sun and above the dial plate. Upright Gothic Roman numbers with hour lines and half and quarter hour divisions.
