BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Greystones, Islip

A fine old vertical dial high on the gable of a listed building. The wall declines 72 degrees west of south, so the gnomon root is off the dialplate and the hourlines are almost parallel (although, as with all vertical dials, the noon line is vertical). They show noon to 8pm in half hours. Upright Arabic Hour numerals, the date, 1776 and all lines are black-painted lettering on stone. The ’T’ shaped gnomon stands on the 5pm line, and a crack along the same line has been filled. Ref: https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1193120
