BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

The Cornhill, Banbury

Rectangular vertical dial, high on the building known as The Cornhill, facing the street. The dial, facing south east, shows hours from 6am to 5pm with full length hour lines, shorter half hours and still shorter quarters in a narrow inner chapter ring. The outer chapter ring has vertical Roman numerals. They use a cross patty at noon and IV at 4pm. The strip gnomon has a single curved supporter. The substyle is at about the same angle as the 8:30am line. The motto: "Cave Ne Falleres Hora" [Take care not to be mistaken about the hour] is inscribed above the dial.
